They had previously been planning a 2014 start. It takes a lot more than just a new offensive idea. It takes cash, and they haven't showed they have it.

Has anyone had it? Even the UFL didn't and that was big time (probably why they didn't)

If you go to this forum, they have a section on the A11FL and there has been mentions of them talking to Tim. One of the writers has an inside on the A11Fl's offer to Tim and it was said to be in the 10 million range, so if it's true then they have the cash. Also they will be playing exhibition games in 2014, according to them. timtebowfans.forumotion.net/

dang, where did they get that $$$ who owns the league? And that's my problem. There are two things that have caught my eye on the A11FL website. One is that they describle themselves as a single entity management structure. If I understand that right, there will be no individual owners, unlike the UFL, only investors who will own a portion of the league. The league is advertising for investors right on their website. Sound familar? This is what the SFL has been trying to do for years, only as far as we can tell, they've never attracted investors. My guess is that the A11FL offered Tebow just about all the money they have, with the hope that bringing him in would attract new fans and investors. Are there that many people who want to put money into a startup league? The other thing is from the most recent post on the league's blog. "Raising capital, deciding on markets and stadiums, starting a spring professional football league in general, is hard work. If it were easy, we’d see a dozen of them out there! Is this an excuse? Nope. Just a statement of fact. And acknowledgement that even the best laid plans get sidetracked at times." The key words there are "raising capital" something both the UFL and AAFL, which had more power behind them, failed to do. And if they are still deciding markets and stadiums at this point, then pcraider 86 is right, the earliest we will see them is 2015, assuming we ever do see them play.

Still amazes me how all these leagues pop up, yet no one wants to combine forces to actually make something work. On a side note, did you see Dusty Sloan from the UFL is writing articles for them?
I agree with you, some of the things they say, like raising capital and asking for investors on website, makes me believe they are people like me who have the dreams, yet not the money.
